Briggs Industrial Solutions in Gainesville, GA is seeking a Field Service Technician II (Heavy Line) to diagnose, repair and rebuild major systems on material handling equipment. You will perform inspections, preventive maintenance and required welding or fabrication, maintain service documentation, and keep commitments to safety and quality while supporting customer operations.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience repairing material handling equipment, heavy equipment, diesel-powered machinery, or related equipment.
• Strong mechanical aptitude, diagnostic troubleshooting skills, and the ability to work with precision measuring instruments and technical repair procedures.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills, with a commitment to professionalism and quality workmanship.
• Valid driver's license; welding experience, trade school education, technician certifications, and product-line certifications are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, and rebuild major systems and components on material handling equipment, including engines, hydraulics, transmissions, electrical systems, brakes, steering, and lifting systems.
• Perform inspections, preventive maintenance, failure analysis, and necessary welding or fabrication work to keep equipment operating to manufacturer specifications.
• Complete service documentation accurately, maintain parts inventory, and ensure company vehicles and work areas remain organized, clean, and safe.
• Follow all company safety standards, OSHA and DOT regulations, participate in ongoing technical training, and support a strong Safety-First culture.
