Job summary

Aggreko plc in Chicago is seeking a Technician 3 to join our Service Center. You will perform preventive maintenance and repairs of HVAC, power, and compressors equipment across various sizes, based in our Chicago service center and occasionally at customer locations.

The role offers overtime and weekend work, potential travel, and ongoing training in diesel, gas, electrical systems and controls. You will work solo or with a teammate to install, operate and troubleshoot equipment, contributing

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience working on Commercial HVAC/Power/Compressors, performing inspections, maintenance, and repairs.
• Experience with calculating nominal and effective tonnage, along with reading and knowing schematics.
• Ability to move or lift objects, typically less than 75 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Based in the Chicago service center; work in the Central Repair Shop/Field.
• Overtime and weekends may be required; potential for travel.
• Perform preventive maintenance and repairs of HVAC/Power/Compressors equipment of various sizes.
• Troubleshoot equipment failures at the shop and possibly at customer locations; handle repairs.
• Operate equipment at the shop solo or with another technician as needed.

What you'll do:

• You'll be based out of our Chicago -Illi, service center and can expect to work in the Central Repair Shop/Field.

• You'll have an opportunity to work overtime and weekends, and there is a potential for travel

• Perform preventive maintenance and repairs of HVAC/Power/Compressors equipment of various sizes.

• Troubleshoot equipment failures at the shop and possibly customer locations, and handle the repairs

• You will either be on your own or teamed up with another technician(s) to set up and operate equipment at the shop

We're experts, which means you'll have the following skills and experience:

• High School diploma/GED or equivalent work history
