Job summary

Aggreko is seeking a Technician 1 for Power or HVAC based in Dallas, TX. You’ll maintain, diagnose, and repair generators, diesel engines, electrical gear, and HVAC systems at the Dallas service center and on customer sites.

Ideal candidates have 4+ years’ experience with power/generator or HVAC equipment, strong schematics literacy, and a valid driver’s license; TWIC/DOT cards may be required. This full-time role offers overtime potential and training.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 4+ years' experience on power generators and/or commercial HVAC equipment.
• Experience calculating nominal and/or effective tonnage and/or kW requirements; ability to read schematics.
• May need TWIC card or valid DOT medical card; valid driver's license.
• Ability to move or lift objects up to 75 lbs; stand/walk for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance and repairs of generators, diesel engines, electrical distribution equipment, HVAC equipment, and oil-free air compressors.
• Troubleshoot equipment failures at shop and on customer sites; perform repairs as needed.
• Set up and operate equipment on customer sites, either solo or with teammates.

What you’ll do:

• You’ll be based out of our Dallas, TX. service center.
• Perform preventive maintenance and repairs of power generators, diesel engines, electrical distribution equipment, HVAC equipment and/or oil free air compressors.
• Troubleshoot equipment failures at the shop and on customer locations and handle the repairs.
• You will either be out on your own or teamed up with other technician(s) to set up and operate equipment on customer sites.

You are:

• High School diploma/GED
• 4+ years of experience working on power generators and/or commercial HVAC equipment, performing inspections, maintenance, and repairs.
• Experience with calculating nominal and effective tonnage and/or kW requirements, along with reading and knowing schematics.
• Based on the customer requirements, you may be required to obtain and maintain a TWIC card or valid DOT medical card
• Valid driver’s license
• Ability to move or lift objects, typically less than 75 lbs.

• Must have good finger dexterity to manipulate small items,functional hand-eye coordination, andfunctionally grip with adequate strength to safelyhold tools and stair railing or ladders
• Must be able to safely meet the physical demands outlined in the Essential Physical Capacities Assessment and pass the post-offer physical abilities assessment, which includes being able to lift (60 lbs), push/pull (80 lbs), carry (60 lbs), climb stairs and ladders as well as a combination of climbing while carrying objects (15 lbs), stoop, kneel and squat
