Job summary

Aggreko in Denver, CO is seeking a Power Technician 2 to service, repair, and operate Aggreko products at our service center and at customer sites, with local daily travel in a company vehicle.

You will work independently or with a team, perform preventive maintenance, read schematics, and calculate tonnage or kW requirements. A High School diploma/GED and 2+ years’ experience are required; we offer full‑time hours, overtime and weekends, plus strong training.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma/GED.
  • 2+ years of experience working on power generators and/or commercial HVAC equipment.
  • Experience with calculating nominal and effective tonnage and/or kW requirements, reading schematics.
  • May need to obtain TWIC card or valid DOT medical card.

Responsibilities

  • Based in Denver service center with daily local travel in company vehicle.
  • Perform preventive maintenance and repairs of generators, diesel engines, electrical distribution, HVAC equipment, and oil free air compressors.
  • Troubleshoot equipment failures at shop and on customer sites and perform repairs.
  • Set up and operate equipment on customer sites, independently or with another technician.

Job description

Bring your energy to Aggreko as a Power Technician 2 in Denver, CO. You'll work as a team or independently in shops and at customer sites to service, repair, commission, and operate Aggreko products. Power without pause. Heating, cooling and oil-free air without end. We keep our customers' worlds on. From world-class events that last a few weeks to mining operations and remote communities who rely on us for decades.

What you'll do:
  • You'll be based out of our Denver, CO service center and can expect to work in the field with local travel daily in your company vehicle.
  • Perform preventive maintenance and repairs of power generators, diesel engines, electrical distribution equipment, HVAC equipment and/or oil free air compressors.
  • Troubleshoot equipment failures at the shop and on customer locations and handle the repairs.
  • You will either be out on your own or teamed up with other technician(s) to set up and operate equipment on customer sites.
You are:
  • High School diploma/GED
  • 2+ years of experience working on power generators and/or commercial HVAC equipment, performing inspections, maintenance, and repairs.
  • Experience with calculating nominal and effective tonnage and/or kW requirements, along with reading and knowing schematics.
  • Based on the customer requirements, you may be required to obtain and maintain a TWIC card or valid DOT medical card.
  • Valid driver's license
  • Ability to move or lift objects, typically less than 75 lbs.

Other essential job requirements:
  • Availability to work the assigned schedule, travel to work locations (if needed) and be on standby for work outside of regularly scheduled shifts
  • Must be able to stand, walk and sit for prolonged periods of time; and be able to walk over uneven terrain with functional balance that does not require any special assistive devices
  • Must be able to move the extremities and spine through a functional range of motion that will permit work to be safely performed from ground / floor level to full overhead level
  • Must have good finger dexterity to manipulate small items, functional hand-eye coordination, and functionally grip with adequate strength to safely hold tools and stair railing or ladders
  • Must be able to safely meet the physical demands outlined in the Essential Physical Capacities Assessment and pass the post-offer physical abilities assessment, which includes being able to lift (60 lbs.), push/pull (80 lbs.), carry (60 lbs.), climb stairs and ladders as well as a combination of climbing while carrying objects (15 lbs.), stoop, kneel and squat
