Job summary

Aggreko plc in Cleveland, OH is seeking a Technician 1 to maintain and repair power generators, chillers, HVAC systems and related equipment. You will travel daily from the Cleveland service center to customer sites in a company vehicle, performing hands-on work to keep energy systems reliable.

Requires a High School diploma or GED and 2+ years’ experience with diesel/natural gas generators or commercial HVAC gear, plus a valid driver’s license. Overtime and travel may be involved.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED
• 2+ years of hands-on experience on diesel/natural gas generators and/or commercial HVAC equipment, chillers, including inspections, maintenance, and repairs
• Able to calculate nominal and effective tonnage and/or kW requirements, and confident reading and interpreting electrical schematics
• Valid driver’s license
• Ability to obtain and maintain a TWIC card or valid DOT medical card based on customer requirements
• Physically able to move or lift objects typically under 75 lbs

What you’ll do as Technician 1:

• Based out of our Cleveland, OH service center, traveling daily to customer sites in a company vehicle

• Availability to work the assignedschedule, travel to work locations (if needed) and be onstandbyfor work outside of regularly scheduledshifts
• Must be able to stand,walkand sit for prolonged periods of time; and be able to walk over uneven terrainwith functional balance that does not require any special assistive devices
• Must be able to move the extremities and spine through a functional range of motion that willpermitwork to be safely performed from ground / floor level tofull overhead level
• Must have good finger dexterity to manipulate small items,functional hand-eye coordination, andfunctionally grip with adequate strength to safelyhold tools and stair railing or ladders
• Must be able to safely meet the physical demands outlined in the Essential Physical Capacities Assessment and pass the post-offer physical abilities assessment, which includes being able to lift (60 lbs), push/pull (80 lbs), carry (60 lbs), climb stairs and ladders as well as a combination of climbing while carrying objects (15 lbs), stoop, kneel and squat
