Job summary

Sammons Warehouse Solutions is seeking a Service Technician I to diagnose, repair, and maintain material handling equipment. You’ll work in the shop or at customer sites, using your mechanical skills and commitment to safety to diagnose issues, perform repairs, and help customers stay productive.

Your work will support customer operations and build trusted relationships with Briggs-related teams. A strong focus on safety and accurate job completion is essential.

Qualifications

• 1 year of experience in forklift repair, heavy equipment, automotive, diesel, or related mechanical field.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills with a team-first attitude.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, and rebuild mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and powertrain systems on material handling equipment, including propane, gas, diesel, and electric units.
• Perform preventative maintenance, equipment inspections, and failure analysis to keep equipment operating per manufacturer specifications.
• Complete service documentation, maintain parts and supplies, and ensure work is performed accurately and on time.
• Follow all company safety standards, OSHA and DOT requirements, participate in safety initiatives, and maintain a clean, organized work environment.

What You’ll Do

What You’ll Bring

• At least 1 year of experience in forklift repair, heavy equipment, automotive, diesel, or a related mechanical field.
• Strong mechanical aptitude, troubleshooting skills, and a desire to continue learning through technical training and certifications.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills with a team-first attitude.
• Valid driver’s license and the ability to work in a shop environment, lift up to 75 pounds, and participate in an on-call rotation as needed.
