Job summary

Sammons Industrial is a family of employee-owned businesses providing industrial operation solutions across Briggs Industrial Solutions, Sammons Warehouse Solutions, and SitePro Rentals. As a Technician II, you will diagnose, repair, and maintain material handling equipment at customer locations and in our shop, ensuring safe and reliable operation.

You will perform inspections, preventative maintenance, and basic welding, while documenting service activities and supporting a Safety-First

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED, plus at least 3 years of forklift repair or related equipment service experience.
• Strong mechanical aptitude with ability to troubleshoot complex equipment; welding or fabrication experience is a plus.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills, plus a valid driver's license and ability to travel to customer sites.
• Commitment to safety, continuous learning, and providing dependable, high-quality service.
• Hyster-Yale certifications are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, repair, rebuild, and maintain forklifts and material handling equipment (engines, hydraulic and electrical systems, transmissions, brakes, steering, lifting components).
• Perform inspections, preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and basic welding following manufacturer specs and safety standards.
• Complete service documentation, manage parts for repairs, and keep a clean, safe company vehicle/work area.
• Participate in technical training, support Safety-First culture, and contribute to service team growth.
