Job summary

Sammons Industrial, including SitePro Rentals, is hiring a Service Technician I in Corpus Christi, Texas. You will diagnose, repair, and maintain material handling equipment, working at customer sites or in the shop to ensure safe operation and adherence to manufacturer specs.

The role emphasizes hands-on problem solving, mechanical aptitude, and strong customer communications. On-call availability, safety focus, and a drive to grow technical skills are valued in this team-oriented environment.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of equipment repair or related industry experience.
• High school diploma or GED required; valid driver's license.
• Solid mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
• Willingness to participate in on-call schedule; safety-focused.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, repair, and maintain equipment including engines, electric motors, transmissions, hydraulics, brakes, steering, electrical and lifting systems.
• Troubleshoot problems and inspect equipment to identify failures, potential issues, and safety concerns before they become bigger problems.
• Work safely and take care of your workspace, following proper procedures for blocking, chocking, chaining, component removal, basic welding, and equipment repair.
• Keep the work moving by documenting repairs, maintaining needed parts and supplies, completing required training, and following SitePro, DOT, OSHA, and other applicable safety standards.

What You’ll Bring

• Solid mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills, with the technical knowledge to diagnose and repair material handling equipment.
• A customer-first mindset with clear communication skills and a commitment to dependable, professional service.
• A Safety-First attitude and willingness to grow. Mechanical or trade school training and repair certifications are preferred. You should also be able to meet the physical demands of the role, including lifting up to 75 pounds, and participate in an on-call schedule as needed.
