Job summary

Sammons Industrial, part of a family of employee-owned businesses, seeks a skilled technician to service and repair material handling equipment on-site. You will diagnose issues, perform maintenance, and ensure safe operation while meeting company standards and regulatory requirements.

Applicants should have 3+ years in forklift or heavy equipment repair, a high school diploma or GED, and a valid driver's license. Tools and travel to customer sites are required.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of forklift repair or heavy equipment experience.
• High school diploma or GED plus a valid driver’s license.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to lift up to 75 pounds and travel to customer sites.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, repair, and rebuild material handling equipment, including mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, engine, brake, steering, and lifting systems.
• Perform preventive maintenance, inspections, troubleshooting, and basic welding or fabrication as needed.
• Complete service documentation and maintain the parts, tools, supplies, and company vehicle needed to get the job done.
• Lead with a Safety-First mindset and follow all company, DOT, OSHA, and regulatory requirements.
