Aggreko is seeking a Technician 1 based in Bridgeport, NJ. You will be based at the Bridgeport service center, performing preventive maintenance and repairs on power generators, diesel engines, HVAC, and oil-free air compressors.

The role may require overtime, weekends, and some travel to customer sites. Ideal candidates have a high school diploma, 4+ years of generator experience, and the ability to read schematics; valid driver’s license is required, and TWIC/DOT medical may be needed.

Qualifikationen

• 4+ years of experience working on power generators, performing inspections, maintenance, and repairs.
• Experience calculating nominal and effective kW requirements, reading and knowing schematics.
• Based on customer requirements, may be required to obtain TWIC card or valid DOT medical card.
• Valid driver’s license.

What you’ll do:

• You’ll be based out of our Bridgeport,NJ service center.
• You’ll have an opportunity to work overtime and weekends, and there is a potential for travel.
• Perform preventive maintenance and repairs of power generators, diesel engines, electrical distribution equipment, HVAC equipment and/or oil free air compressors.
• Troubleshoot equipment failures at the shop and occasionally on customer locations and handle the repairs.

You are:

• High School diploma/GED
• 4+ years of experience working on power generators, performing inspections, maintenance, and repairs.
• Experience with calculating nominal and effective kW requirements, along with reading and knowing schematics.
• Based on the customer requirements, you may be required to obtain and maintain a TWIC card or valid DOT medical card
• Valid driver’s license
• Ability to move or lift objects, typically less than 75 lbs.

• Must be able to safely meet the physical demands outlined in the Essential Physical Capacities Assessment and pass the post-offer physical abilities assessment, which includes being able to lift (60 lbs), push/pull (80 lbs), carry (60 lbs), climb stairs and ladders as well as a combination of climbing while carrying objects (15 lbs), stoop, kneel and squat
