Job summary

Leidos is seeking a Technical Writer to support a high-impact multi-agency program for USSF/SSC and USAF, focusing on SATCOM systems. The role emphasizes authoring, editing, and proofreading operations, manuals, and training materials in a fast-paced environment.

The candidate will work with software, systems, and test engineers to gather data, maintain documentation standards, and ensure compliance with CDIRD/DID requirements. A TS/SCI with Polygraph clearance is required.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in a technical, writing, or related discipline and 8+ years of relevant experience.
5+ years of technical writing experience preparing software and engineering documents and deliverables.
Experience with MS Office Suite to develop and edit technical documentation and presentations.
Experience coordinating with engineers and program management to translate technical information into written material.

Responsibilities

Author, edit, and proofread a wide range of technical documentation including manuals and user guides.
Gather requirements from users and stakeholders and translate into deliverables.
Collaborate with engineering and other teams to ensure accuracy and consistency across materials.
Perform quality assurance reviews to ensure compliance with DID requirements and customer feedback.
Manage document configuration, version control, and traceability.
