Job summary

VAILEXA in San Jose is seeking an experienced Technical Writer to develop security-focused documentation for networking products. You will create installation guides, release notes, and user content, collaborating with engineering to ensure clear, accurate information.

Candidates should interpret technical data, be adept at coordinating with cross-functional teams, and deliver AI-ready content aligned with Cisco's strategy. Lab environments will be used to validate content and updates.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Technical Communication, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Proven experience writing security documentation for networking products (minimum 4 years preferred).
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong understanding of networking concepts (Ethernet, TCP/IP, VLANs, etc.).
• Proficient in authoring tools such as Oxygen XML, Markdown, or similar.
• Experience with project management and issue-tracking platforms like Atlassian Jira.
• Experience working in cross-functional technical teams.
• Experience with content management systems like Adobe Experience Manager or similar.
• Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Experience in transforming content to be AI-ready, enabling customers to find information quickly and easily.
