Job summary

Garden Life Development is seeking a Technical Writer for a full-time temporary W-2 assignment in North Carolina. You will translate complex technical information into clear, usable documents, writing manuals, guides, release notes, and SOPs.

You will interview subject-matter experts, maintain document standards, and ensure quality and accessibility across manuals, training materials, and stakeholder communications. On-site, hybrid, or remote depending on the project.

Qualifications

• Technical or business writing experience with a portfolio required.
• Ability to interview subject-matter experts and capture processes accurately.
• Strong command of Microsoft Word and documentation tools.
• Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Write and maintain user manuals, training guides, and installation guides.
• Produce system documentation, release notes, and operations manuals.
• Develop standard operating procedures, policies, and procedures.
• Write plans for training, testing, quality assurance, and contingency operations.
• Document backup, recovery, and restart procedures.
• Prepare proposals, presentations, reports, and stakeholder communications.
• Edit reports and deliverables for clarity, consistency, and accessibility.
• Manage document versions and style standards.
