Job summary

ABB is seeking a Technical Writer in New Berlin, WI to turn complex technical and manufacturing information into clear documentation. The role is hybrid, collaborating with R&D, engineering, operations, quality, and testing to create manuals, SOPs, and specs.

Candidates should have a bachelor’s degree in a related field and 2+ years of experience, or an associate’s with 4+ years. Strong English, editing, and MS Office skills are required, with preference for power electronics or automation

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent with 2+ years of relevant experience.
• Experience creating manuals, SOPs, and product documentation.
• Ability to translate technical content for diverse stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Create, edit, and maintain manuals, SOPs, specifications, and related docs.
• Collaborate with R&D, engineering, operations, quality, and testing teams.
• Review documentation for consistency, accuracy, usability, and standardization.
• Coordinate document reviews and approvals to keep docs current.
