Candidate should have a Bachelor's in a technical field, 2+ years of writing experience, and proficiency with XML authoring tools, MS Office, and Adobe Acrobat. Automotive or defense experience is strongly preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a technical field or equivalent education/experience.
• 2+ years of technical writing experience.
• Experience with mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, or electronic systems.
• Proficiency with MS Office Suite and Adobe Acrobat Pro.
• Experience with Arbortext Epic Editor or Oxygen preferred.
• Automotive or defense industry experience preferred.
• Strong attention to detail, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Create, edit, and maintain technical manuals, procedures, repair instructions, parts documentation, and technical reports.
• Translate engineering drawings, specifications, and technical data into clear, user-friendly documentation.
• Collaborate with engineers, technicians, and cross-functional teams to ensure document accuracy.
• Review and incorporate technical illustrations, graphics, and diagrams into documentation.
• Verify and validate procedures to ensure compliance with technical standards and customer requirements.
• Utilize XML authoring tools, CMS, and publishing software to develop documentation.
• Ensure all documents meet quality, safety, and regulatory requirements.
