Job summary

Sentar is seeking a Technical Writer 2 to support DoD electronic equipment programs from Hanover, MD. The role focuses on preparing, reviewing, and maintaining technical documents across hardware and software, including installation and user guides.

The candidate will work with engineers and SMEs, producing code documentation, implementation guides, and training materials while leveraging SharePoint/Confluence for documentation workflows.

Qualifications

• Six years of experience as a Technical Writer on programs/contracts of similar scope and complexity.
• Bachelor’s degree in a technical or business discipline is required; four years additional TW experience may substitute.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, review, revise, and maintain technical documents for hardware and software.
• Write and edit installation, configuration, and how-to documentation.
• Create software code documentation and end-user guides.
• Produce defense acquisition documents and DoD user manuals.
