Job summary

The University of Texas at Austin is seeking a Technical Writer/Editor II to write and maintain high-frequency sonar documentation at Pickle Research Campus. You will prepare user guides, operation manuals, and related documents in HTML, PDF, and Word formats, while managing revisions and contributing to IT documentation efforts.

Responsibilities include testing support, peer editing, multimedia content capture, and collaboration with project leads and the documentation team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in English or technical writing or related field.
• At least two years of professional or technical writing/editing experience.
• Ability to work independently and under supervision with strong organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Write and maintain technical user guides and O&M manuals in HTML, PDF, and Word.
• Support testing/verification of sonar components and document results.
• Participate in peer editing and publishing processes.
• Manage revision control practices and documentation tools.
• Contribute to IT resources and internal documentation via team IT working group.
• Provide photography and videography support for multimedia content.
