Job summary

The University of Texas at Austin is seeking a Technical Writer/Editor I to write, maintain, and prepare technical documents for high frequency active sonar systems in the Advanced Technology Laboratory. You will contribute to user guides, manuals, and other deliverables in HTML, PDF, and Word formats, and manage GitLab issues.

You will participate in testing, editing, and publishing processes, while supporting the documentation team and IT resources.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• At least one year of professional or technical writing/editing experience.
• Knowledge of HTML, XML, CSS and other markup languages.
• Experience with photo and video editing software tools.

Responsibilities

• Write, maintain, and prepare technical documents in HTML, PDF, and Word formats.
• Maintain assigned GitLab issues and support multiple projects.
• Participate in testing and verification of sonar components.
• Collaborate with the documentation team and IT resources management.
• Provide photography and videography support for documentation.
