Job summary

Curtiss-Wright is seeking a Technical Writer in East Farmingdale, NY, to develop, maintain, and revise documentation for products and programs. You will interface with engineering, manufacturing, quality, and program management to ensure accuracy, regulatory compliance, and customer satisfaction.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) and 3+ years of technical writing experience, with proficiency in MS Office and strong editing and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree or equivalent required.
• Minimum three years experience creating technical documentation.
• Strong understanding of technical writing principles and documentation lifecycle management.
• Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Proficient in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams).
• Editing, proofreading, and maintaining tone, accuracy, and consistency across deliverables.

Responsibilities

• Ensure technical documentation adheres to standards for quality, graphics, coverage, format and style.
• Perform technical and editorial reviews to ensure accuracy, consistency, completeness, readability and compliance with applicable standards.
• Translate technical information into clear, concise, and user-focused documentation.
• Recommend improvements to documentation processes, templates, workflows, and publishing practices.
• Formats all technical publications from internal forms and procedures to complete technical manuals.
