Job Title: Technical Writer

Job Overview:

We are seeking a skilled Technical Writer to join our team, focusing on supporting our Client Developer Portal. The ideal candidate will create clear, concise, and user-friendly documentation, specifically how-to guides, developer-facing instructions, and descriptive content for our Orders API. This role is crucial for enhancing the developer experience by providing easy-to-understand instructions and examples for key use cases.

Key Responsibilities:

• How-to Guides Creation: Develop comprehensive how-to guides for the Orders API, including tasks like placing an order and retrieving order status, ensuring they are clear and useful for developers.
• Developer-Focused Content: Write detailed instructions and walkthroughs for less than 10 prioritized key use cases, aimed at facilitating developers' understanding and implementation of our API.
• Content Drafting and Vetting: Draft and vet descriptive content and usage examples that complement internal development artifacts, ensuring accuracy and relevance.
• Collaboration: Work closely with development teams to gather insights and verify technical accuracy of the documentation.
• Continuous Improvement: Regularly update documentation based on feedback and changes in API features or functionalities, ensuring the information remains current and valuable.
  
  

Qualifications:

• Proven experience in technical writing, particularly for developer-facing content.
• Strong understanding of APIs and experience with Orders APIs is a plus.
• Excellent writing, editing, and communication skills.
• Ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear and concise documentation.
• Experience collaborating with development teams and understanding developer needs.
• Familiarity with documentation tools and platforms used for developer portals.

The hourly range for this position is $36.64 - $54.96 plus incentives that align with individual and company performance. Actual salaries will vary based on work location, qualifications, skills, education, experience, and competencies. Benefits available to eligible employees in this role include medical, dental, vision insurance, comprehensive employee assistance program, 401(k) retirement plan, paid time off and holidays.
