About interos.ai: Global supply chains are more complex — and more vulnerable — than ever. At interos.ai, we’re solving that by applying AI and graph technology to dynamically map, monitor, and model supplier ecosystems. Our platform gives organizations real-time visibility into risk across their supply chain — geopolitical, cyber, financial, and more — without invasive data collection.

With a first-mover advantage and a game-changing product, we’re entering a critical growth phase. That’s where you come in.

About The Role: We are seeking a skilled and strategic Federal Writer (Contract) to support the development of compelling, targeted content for U.S. federal agencies, public sector partners and government stakeholders. In this role, you’ll translate complex topics into clear, persuasive messaging that resonates with government buyers, from thought leadership to campaign content and event support.

If you have a strong grasp of federal audiences, federal acquisition language and love transforming commercial materials into public-sector-ready messaging, we want to hear from you.

What You’ll Do:

  • Research and develop thought leadership content tailored for federal agencies, government stakeholders and the broader public sector.
  • Adapt commercial messaging and collateral into federal-focused marketing materials that align with government priorities and procurement language.
  • Draft content for federal-focused campaigns across multiple channels, including blogs, email and webinar copy.
  • Create tailored messaging and supporting materials for federal conferences, briefings and industry events.
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts, marketing and sales teams to ensure consistency and compliance with federal communication standards.
  • Ensure tone, structure and compliance are appropriate for government audiences, including alignment with agency mission language, terminology and procurement processes.
  • Conduct industry research to inform positioning, messaging and content development aligned with federal buying behaviors.

What You Bring:

  • 5+ years of experience writing for or within federal government, public sector or government contractor environments.
  • Proven ability to translate complex technology, policy or regulatory topics into accessible content for government audiences.
  • Strong understanding of federal acquisition processes and terminology.
  • Experience writing across formats, including thought leadership, solution briefs, case studies, and campaign assets with a focus on the public sector.
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple deadlines and quickly adapt to shifting priorities.
  • Excellent research, interviewing and writing skills; able to synthesize information into clear, persuasive copy.
  • Bonus Points For:
  • Strong network of media contacts in the public sector or federal space; experience as a former journalist a plus
  • Familiarity with FedRAMP, SCRIPTS BPA, or similar public-sector programs and contracting vehicles.

What We Offer:

  • Comprehensive health, dental & vision insurance
  • 401(k) with employer match
  • Flexible Time Off (FTO) + 10 paid holidays
  • Wellness perks including onsite gym + Peloton room (HQ)
  • Career growth opportunities in a fast-scaling company
  • Employee referral bonuses and recognition programs

We believe in rewarding great work with competitive, transparent compensation. Final offer will be based on skills, experience, and geographic location.

Work Environment, Location and Travel:

This is a remote-first role open to candidates legally authorized to work in the United States. Employees may optionally work from our Arlington, VA HQ. This position may require up to 10% travel. Frequent travel is outside the local area and overnight.
