Job Title – CMMC Technical Writer

Location – Remote (U.S. based), with occasional travel to client sites

Role Type – Contract (initial 8-month contract with strong potential for extension)

Must Have Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree or 4+ years of relevant experience
  • Deep understanding of GRC, cybersecurity, FAR, DFARS, CUI, CMMC, and FedRAMP
  • CMMC RP or CCP certification strongly preferred
  • Excellent communication, writing, and teamwork skills
  • Willingness to travel to client sites when required

Responsibilities and Job Details:

  • Create and maintain comprehensive documentation supporting CMMC compliance activities
  • Write tailored, technically sound policies, procedures, and supporting artifacts in alignment with client environments
  • Collaborate with cybersecurity consultants and client teams to gather accurate technical and compliance requirements
  • Translate complex cybersecurity controls into readable, actionable documentation
  • Support gap assessments and readiness planning aligned with CMMC, NIST 800-171, and FedRAMP frameworks
  • Conduct interviews and working sessions with client personnel to understand existing practices
  • Align all documentation deliverables with DoD and NIST standards for safeguarding CUI
  • Deliver high-quality written outputs within set deadlines and formatting standards
  • Act as a subject matter expert in the preparation and validation of GRC documentation packages
  • Provide guidance and mentoring to junior staff as needed
  • Maintain a strong understanding of evolving CMMC requirements and contribute to internal process improvement initiatives
  • Support business development teams by contributing to proposals and compliance strategies when requested.
