Title: Technical Writer
Location: San Diego, CA - Some flexibility on remote, but mostly need to be considered as an onsite role.
Duration: 6 Months with possibilities of extension and conversion to full time
Travel Required: 0-5%
Day to Day Responsibilities
- Create, develop, plan, write and edit operational, instructional, maintenance or test procedures for SD Manufacturing team to follow.
- Create Change Orders to release documentation into company's documentation quality system.
- Meet and interact with various users and technical experts to gather data for documentation.
- Research and translate technical information into documents for nontechnical and technical users.
- Document engineering processes and specifications.
- Recommend formats responsive to technical and customer requirements.
- Conform to the company documentation and quality assurance standards.
- Produce products that conform to the company documentation and quality assurance standards.
- Experience writing manufacturing documentation.
- Will write process instruction, URS, IQ and proper use of equipment, capture process instructions, qualify equipment.
- Update them in the quality systems like Oracle Cloud will be a great.
- Industry experience is a must have.
- Prefer someone with FDA/ Manufacturing environment/ experience writing technical documents in other industry
- Bachelor's in engineering is a plus, ready to consider person with proper experience.
- 2-4 years of experience is ideal, more years is fine.

- Capturing experimental design and results into technical documents.
- Drafting and Releasing Manufacturing Process Instructions
- Releasing Equipment Documentation Packets (URS,IQ,IOQ)
- Education Requirements:Bachelor's degree in a technical field
- Software Skills Required: Microsoft Office

- Cloud PLM (Oracle) Experience
- Design Controls Experience
