VTG seeks an experienced Technical Trainer to develop and deliver training for SIGINT systems, RF tech, wireless communications, and related computer systems. The role combines classroom instruction with the creation of comprehensive training materials and assessments.

Ideal candidates have an electrical engineering or computer science background and a strong record delivering instructor-led or web-based training, plus experience briefing large groups and junior personnel.

Qualifications

  • Active TS/SCI with Polygraph clearance required.
  • Minimum of 9 years of electrical engineering or computer science experience.
  • Experience designing and developing instructor-led and/or web-based technical training.
  • Experience delivering technical instruction to groups or large audiences.
  • 3+ years of experience with VHF/UHF, RF theory, antennas, and wireless tech including GSM/CDMA2000/UMTS/LTE/WiFi.

  • Design, develop, and deliver technical training for SIGINT systems, RF technologies, wireless communications, electronics, and computer systems.
  • Develop instructor-led and/or web-based training courses and associated materials.

Overview

We are seeking an experienced Technical Trainer to develop, deliver, and continuously improve technical training supporting SIGINT systems, RF technologies, wireless communications, and associated computer systems.

The ideal candidate will combine a strong technical background in electrical engineering or computer science with demonstrated experience developing and delivering instructor-led and/or web-based technical training. This individual will provide classroom instruction, develop comprehensive training materials, evaluate training effectiveness, and provide guidance to junior training personnel.

What will you do?
  • Design, develop, and deliver technical training for SIGINT systems, RF technologies, wireless communications, electronics, and computer systems.
  • Develop instructor-led and/or web-based training courses and associated materials.
  • Create and maintain:
    • Training presentations and slides
    • Technical diagrams
    • Student guides and reference materials
    • Practical exercises and hands-on activities
    • Student assessments and evaluations
  • Draft, review, and finalize technical training documentation.
  • Provide classroom instruction and support for technical training programs.
  • Present complex technical and operational concepts to large audiences.
  • Brief military and agency personnel on technical and operational concepts.
  • Analyze training challenges and operational requirements to identify training needs and capability gaps.
  • Develop and improve training plans, curriculum, course content, and instructional methodologies.
  • Evaluate training outcomes and revise materials based on student feedback, customer feedback, and operational scenario accuracy.
  • Ensure training content accurately reflects operational systems, equipment, procedures, and mission requirements.
  • Provide technical and instructional guidance to junior contractor personnel involved in systems and equipment training.
  • Conduct inspections and evaluations of training programs and personnel to ensure compliance with Government policies and standards.
  • Apply knowledge of SIGINT, RF theory, VHF/UHF systems, radio equipment, antennas, and wireless communications to technical training development.
  • Ensure training materials remain technically accurate, current, and aligned with customer requirements.
Do you have what it takes?
  • Active TS/SCI W/ Polygraph required.
  • Minimum of 9 years of electrical engineering or computer science experience demonstrating working knowledge of:
    • Basic electronics
    • SIGINT systems
    • Computer systems
  • Demonstrated experience designing and developing instructor-led and/or web-based technical training.
  • Experience developing technical training materials, including slides, diagrams, student guides, practical activities, and assessments.
  • Experience delivering technical instruction and presenting technical concepts to groups or large audiences.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience with:
    • VHF
    • UHF
    • RF theory
    • Radio-wave propagation and characteristics
    • Radio equipment
    • Antennas
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience with wireless communication technologies, including technologies such as:
    • GSM
    • CDMA2000
    • UMTS
    • LTE
    • WiFi
  • Ability to communicate complex technical and operational concepts to audiences with varying levels of technical expertise.

VTG’s estimated starting pay range is $120K-$125K annually, which is a general guideline for the geographic location. When extending an offer, VTG also considers work experience, education, skill level, market considerations and may possibly include contractual requirements which may cause an offer to fall outside of this range.
