Job summary

MULTIVAC USA seeks a Technical Training Supervisor to lead a team of trainers and act as a hands-on trainer for associates and customers. You will set goals, certify staff, and handle admin duties while developing and delivering technical courses across installations, programming, troubleshooting, safety, and maintenance.

The role requires travel up to 40% (some international), flexible scheduling including weekends, and collaboration with the Training Manager to meet objectives.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in technical discipline or adult learning theory; five years' hands-on training development/ delivery experience.
• Strong ability to supervise, coach and evaluate training staff and performance.
• Experience using varied media to deliver technical content (in-plant, in-house, virtual).

Responsibilities

• Supervise a training team, set goals, coach, review performance and approve timesheets.
• Certify trainers for course delivery.
• Develop and conduct internal/external technical training for associates and customers across media channels.
• Schedule and deliver trainings for newly hired Field Service Technicians; monitor trainee progress.

• Provide back-up support for trainings at the Kansas City facility.
• Upgrade courses and create new programs to meet industry standards.
• Collaborate with Training Manager to meet seat fill, availability and revenue goals.
• Ensure proper use of the LMS and any future LMS programs.
• Perform non-routine Training Department tasks as assigned.

In the trainer capacity, the incumbent will develop and facilitate formalized technical training for associates and customers across all available media channels on topics including, but not limited to: equipment installation, programming, troubleshooting, safety, maintenance, and repair.

In the trainer capacity, the incumbent will develop and facilitate formalized technical training for associates and customers across all available media channels on topics including, but not limited to: equipment installation, programming, troubleshooting, safety, maintenance, and repair.

Time Utilization:

This position will travel up to 40% of the time (some international travel is required). Schedule needs to be flexible to accommodate internal and external customers’ schedules. The training course schedule may require some weekend sessions.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Supervise assigned training team members, including setting individual and team goals aligned with Training Center strategic objectives, providing coaching, managing performance, completing performance reviews, and approving timesheets and expenses.
• Certify Technical Trainers for course delivery.
• Develop and conduct internal and external technical training sessions for associates and customers for in‑house, in-plant, and virtual trainings using a variety of training materials and methods.
• Schedule and deliver trainings for newly hired Field Service Technicians and provide continuous feedback to Service Management on trainee progress, engagement, demonstrated technical aptitude, and areas for improvement.
• Develop and conduct tests to measure and monitor learning progress and evaluate the effectiveness of training.
• Draft course schedules and manage course registrations for Kansas City based classes.
• Develop and conduct non-technical courses and training paths in areas such as sales training.
• Provide back‑up support for all training courses delivered at the Kansas City facility.
• Upgrade existing courses and develop new training programs to ensure they meet current industry standards and best practices.
• Collaborate with Training Manager to ensure company training goals are being met, including but not limited to seat fill, course availability and revenue goals.
• Insure proper utilization of company LMS (Success Factors) and any future LMS programs.
• Perform additional non-routine Training Department-related tasks as assigned by the Training Manager.

Education/Experience:

Associate's degree in technical discipline or adult learning theory and at least five year's experience developing and conducting hands-on technical training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Must possess demonstrated technical aptitude and ability to develop effective instructional media solutions.

Certificates and Licenses:

Current valid driver’s license and the ability to obtain a passport for travel as required by position.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

Directly supervises a team of associates. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training associates; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining associates; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
