Job description

The Technical Training Lead is responsible for developing, implementing, and managing technical training programs to ensure employees acquire the skills, knowledge, and competencies required to perform their jobs safely, efficiently, and in compliance with company standards. This role partners with Operations, Quality, Engineering, and Leadership teams to identify training needs, create learning materials, coordinate training activities, and monitor employee qualification and development programs.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement technical training programs for manufacturing, production, quality, and operational personnel.
  • Assess training needs and identify skill gaps across departments.
  • Create, revise, and maintain training materials, work instructions, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and training curricula.
  • Facilitate classroom, virtual, and hands-on technical training sessions.
  • Coordinate new hire onboarding and job-specific training programs.
  • Evaluate training effectiveness through assessments, observations, and performance metrics.
  • Maintain training records and ensure compliance with internal and regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts to develop and improve training content.
  • Support cross-training and employee development initiatives.
  • Ensure training programs align with safety, quality, and operational standards.
  • Monitor employee qualifications and certifications and track recertification requirements.
  • Provide coaching and guidance to employees and supervisors on training-related matters.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives through workforce development and skills enhancement.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Education
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Education, Human Resources, Business Administration, Industrial Technology, or a related field required.
  • Master's Degree preferred.
Experience
  • Minimum of 5-8 years of experience in technical training, manufacturing, operations, engineering, or workforce development.
  • Experience developing and delivering training programs in a manufacturing or industrial environment preferred.
  • Experience with Learning Management Systems (LMS) is preferred.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Fully bilingual in English and Spanish (written and verbal).
  • Strong presentation and facilitation skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge of adult learning principles and training methodologies.
  • Ability to create effective training materials and documentation.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook).
  • Ability to work effectively with employees at all organizational levels.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes, quality systems, and safety requirements.
  • Combination of office and manufacturing floor environment.
