Job summary

Veeco Instruments Inc. in Plainview, NY, seeks a Technical Instructor who develops, maintains, and delivers technical training for customers and internal staff.

You’ll create instructor‑led, remote, and computer‑based courses, define learning objectives with subject matter experts, and convert materials into LMS-ready modules. You will deliver in‑person and remote training, track attendance and course completion, review procedures for safety and accuracy, and collaborate with Field Service,

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or degree from an Engineering & Applied Technology School with 5+ years of technical support/field service experience preferred.
• Experience in sustaining or technical support in semiconductor/technical manufacturing is strongly preferred.
• Travel up to 25% to deliver customer training and skill building.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, and schedule training deliveries for internal and customer students.
• Deliver instructor-led training in person and remotely.
• Develop training materials for customer and internal programs.
• Train personnel to perform procedures safely, accurately, and consistently.
• Use LMS to deliver courses, schedule sessions, track attendance, and record completion.
• Deliver in-person and remote training with hands-on demos, checks for understanding, and assessments.
• Verify learners can perform published procedures safely and correctly.
• Collaborate with SMEs to define objectives and create training packages.
• Develop system training covering overview, subsystems, operations, and software.
