Job summary

SMC is seeking a Technical Trainer to deliver in-person, video, and remote training on automation, pneumatics, and related topics. You will conduct engaging sessions, maintain training records, and mentor peers in training practices.

The role requires a Bachelor's in engineering or 5 years of technical experience, plus strong communication and LMS familiarity. Expect travel to sites and collaborative teamwork within the Training Department.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or 5 years of manufacturing/technical experience.
• 3 years of experience as an SMC technical employee or equivalent.
• Proven ability to provide exceptional SMC product and pneumatic training.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Strong facilitation with hands-on activities and audience engagement.

Responsibilities

• Deliver in-person, video and remote training courses on automation and SMC products.
• Conduct sessions on Technical Products, Automation Technology, Fluid Power, Electro-Pneumatics, and related topics.
• Maintain training records and LMS content; mentor others in training practices.
• Travel to SMC locations, distributors, and customer sites to teach courses.
• Integrate product and sales knowledge to communicate effectively with students.
• Assist development and promotion of training programs; assist with LMS administration.
