Job summary

Virginia Natural Gas is seeking a Training Lead to coordinate and mentor the Operations Training Team, while actively delivering technical training and guiding curriculum development. You will oversee Field Trainers and support the Instructional Designer to advance qualification programs and continuous improvement across workforce readiness initiatives.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Five (5) or more years of experience in operations training, technical training, learning and development, workforce development, or a related field.
• Experience delivering instructor-led and/or field-based technical training.
• Experience developing, implementing, or maintaining training curriculum.
• Demonstrated formal or informal leadership experience leading projects, initiatives, teams, or work groups.
• Strong facilitation, presentation, and communication skills.
• Strong organizational and project management skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and learning technologies.

Responsibilities

• Serve as primary coordinator and technical lead for the Operations Training Team, directing day-to-day work, coaching trainers, and guiding instructional design resources while actively delivering training and supporting curriculum development and OQ initiatives.
• Oversee Field Trainers and provide dotted-line oversight to the Instructional Designer for curriculum development and training initiatives.
• Lead through influence and subject matter expertise, with direct responsibility for training delivery, curriculum modifications input, qualification program support, and continuous improvement efforts.
• Act as a key liaison among Operations, Safety, Compliance, and Training to ensure workforce readiness and regulatory compliance.
