Job summary

Lockheed Martin in Moorestown, New Jersey, seeks a dynamic Training Specialist focused on Combat Systems operations to educate government customers and military personnel on the Aegis Weapon System and related procedures.

You will develop lesson plans, guides, tests and presentations, deliver classroom and lab instruction, and keep materials current with software and equipment changes. Travel may be required.

THE WORK

The successful candidate for this highly visible position will have opportunities to work with both foreign and domestic government customers, military, civilian engineers, technicians and other Technical Trainers in an extremely dynamic, and fast paced work environment that may include travel to foreign countries and exposure to the most advanced Aegis baselines at the Combat System Engineering and Development Site (CSEDS), in Moorestown, New Jersey.

This position is for a team member who specializes in the training of Combat Systems operations.

Responsibilities include creating and updating lesson plans, trainee guides, tests and presentation materials. Instructing in both classroom and laboratory environments. Evaluating training materials and procedures and makes or recommends revisions to keep courses up to date on software and equipment design changes. This position requires customer interface, classroom and laboratory instruction, training reports and presentations related to the Networking, Computer, and Display equipment at International and US Navy platforms including CSEDS. Must have the ability to qualify as an Instructor in accordance with Navy/ATRC instructions.

This position requires the development of Curriculum materials for International Programs on the Aegis Weapon System. Additional responsibilities include, but not limited to, instructor led training, development of course content, student learning objectives; preparation of course syllabi, lesson plans, testing, and student manuals.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
  • Excellent communication skills (oral and written).
  • Proficient in Aegis console operations (Baseline 9+), including all submodes and warfare areas.
  • Understand the fundamental differences between baselines, and familiar with reference materials available to distinguish these differences in training.
  • Aegis Operations Specialists have field experience in operation on board Aegis platforms.
  • Be familiar with NAVEDTRA 137A & 142 naval training standards and instructional system design.
  • Have the ability to create and update lesson plans, trainee guides, and presentation materials and instruct in both classroom and laboratory environments.
  • Candidate must have an active secret security clearance.
DESIRED SKILLS
  • Qualified as Master Training Specialist.
GRADUATE OF US NAVY AEGIS OPERATIONS SPECIALIST

W22A (AWS Console Operator), W23A - Multi-Tactical Digital Information Link Operator (TADIL), W24A - Interface Control Officer (ICO), W18A - ASW/ASUW Tactical Air Controller (ASTAC) , to Instruct Foreign Military personnel on the Aegis Weapons System.

PAY INFORMATION

Full-Time Salary Range: $81500.00 - $151300.00
