Job summary

Lockheed Martin’s Rotary and Mission Systems in Mount Laurel, NJ, seeks a Deputy to the Readiness Systems Engineering Architect. You will help lead architectural design and management of readiness domain solutions for Aegis customers and beyond in a software-intensive system performing fault detection and reloads.

You’ll collaborate with software and test teams, develop SysML models, handle requirements, and participate in engineering reviews, with opportunities to travel.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in an engineering field such as Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Math, Physics or equivalent
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience
  • Experience with Requirements Derivation and Management
  • Experience with Program and/or Product leadership
  • Ability to obtain & maintain a secret security clearance

Responsibilities

  • Work with the lead systems architect to design and implement new capabilities for and manage existing architecture of readiness domain solutions for our Aegis customers and beyond
  • Act as a member of the readiness core team to control the readiness product processes and tools, focusing on continuous improvements and workflow management
  • Engage in discussions with both internal and external stakeholders to derive system requirements, estimate work scope, and coordinate work planning
  • Manage a large set of living specifications
  • Work with integration and test teams to define/review test procedures, coordinate testing, review test results, and track reported issues and fixes
  • Actively participate in engineering reviews at all levels
  • Coordinate interface changes
  • Work with the software teams on both high and low level software changes
  • Develop and manage system architecture models (SysML)
  • Respond to shifting priorities as issues arise
  • Opportunities to travel if desired

The Work

We are seeking a Deputy to the Readiness Systems Engineering Architect. As the deputy to the Readiness Systems Architect, you would be helping lead the architectural design and management of readiness domain solutions on some of the largest and most advanced systems in the world. Our product is a software intensive system that performs fault detection and isolation tests on a variety of legacy and modern hardware, performs computer program reloads, manages data and configuration files, and performs other maintenance type tasks on Aegis platforms and on future platforms as our portfolio expands.

Knowledge of systems and/or software engineering architectures desired. Knowledge of Linux operating system is desired. Proficient in AI prompting as it applies to this position and practice.

In this role, you will

Basic Qualifications

  • Familiarity with Linux (RHEL) OS
  • Familiarity with reliability engineering principles (FMEA, FMECA)
  • Familiarity with data science principles
  • Familiarity with Agile principles
  • Familiarity with SQL Databases
  • Strong diplomatic leadership skills, must be able to build consensus among groups with diverse and competing interests
  • Ability to respond quickly to shifting internal priorities
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Existing secret clearance or higher

Pay Information

  • $91000.00 - $181113.00
