Job summary

Axis Communications is seeking a Technical Trainer for the Chicago area. Travel will be extensive (65-75%), including domestic and international trips.

The role involves delivering engaging in-person and virtual training, creating and updating educational content, and serving as an ambassador for Axis solutions and IP networking technologies. You will lead webinars and podcasts, adapt to diverse audiences, and collaborate with customers, partners, and internal teams to ensure impactful learning

Qualifications

• Minimum of four years in technical training, education, or related field.
• Technical background in IP technologies, networking, or related areas.
• Knowledge of networking technologies including switching or routing.
• Excellent public speaking, presentation, and communication abilities.
• Ability to engage an audience, adapt to classroom needs, and simplify complex concepts.
• Strong relationship management and collaboration skills.
• Self-motivated, flexible, and detail oriented.

Responsibilities

• Deliver in-person and remote technical training sessions, courses, webinars, and podcasts.
• Develop, update, and refine training materials reflecting products and customer needs.
• Research industry trends and tailor programs to different markets.

The Opportunity

As a Technical Trainer, you will be a trusted technical resource, educator, and ambassador for Axis. You will help customers and partners build the knowledge and confidence they need to succeed with Axis products and IP network technologies.

You will lead engaging in person and virtual training experiences, deliver webinars and podcasts, and continuously improve educational content to meet the evolving needs of our customers and the industries we serve. No two days will look exactly alike. You will combine technical expertise, creativity, communication, and relationship building to help others succeed.

What You'll Bring

• Four or more years of experience in technical training, education, or a related field.
• A technical background in IP technologies, networking, or a strong passion for learning and teaching technical concepts.
• Knowledge of networking technologies, including switching or routing.

• The ability to engage an audience, adapt to changing classroom needs, and make technical information easy to understand.

Experience in one or more of the following areas is a plus:

• Network video surveillance, CCTV, or IP network cameras.

• Relevant technical certifications, such as networking or security industry credentials.
• A degree in a related technical or educational field.

Compensation and Benefits

The approximate compensation range for this position is $90,000 to $100,000 in Total Target Compensation .

Actual compensation will depend on factors including qualifications, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, and work location.
