Job summary

PowerChampions is seeking a Technical Trainer with generator maintenance experience to support Emergency Power Supply Systems partners. You will deliver instructor-led and hands-on programs, assess technician competencies, and help advance performance across field teams.

Travel up to 35% is required. The role partners with Operations leaders to tailor training, stay current on industry safety and tech practices, and maintain accurate records of certifications and progress.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in field-based services and maintenance within the generator/EPSS industry.
• Strong presentation, facilitation, and communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and learning-related technology platforms.

Responsibilities

• Deliver instructor-led, virtual, field-based, and hands-on training for technicians.
• Facilitate demonstrations and skills-based exercises.
• Administer skills assessments and provide coaching.
• Identify knowledge gaps and recommend development opportunities.
• Maintain training records, certifications, and attendance documentation.
• Monitor technician progress against development plans.
• Partner with Operations to identify training needs and trends.
• Support new training initiatives and learning resources.
• Suggest improvements to materials, assessments, and delivery methods.
• Stay current on industry technologies and safety requirements.
• Travel is needed for training evolutions (about 35%).
