Title: Technical Instructor

Location: 1960 Technology Drive Troy, MI 48083 & Westland, MI

Duration: 4+Months (Possibility for Extension)

Rate: $50-$55/hr on W2

The ideal candidate will have previous experience in operating heavy equipment and maintenance as well as instructor/facilitator experience.

Required Skills:

Plan, prepare and deliver instruction of assigned courses using a variety of teaching methods to facilitate the learning of participants. Depending on program requirements, courses may be taught in the classroom, outdoor locations, and/or online.
Must know, or when necessary, acquaint themselves with the rules, regulations, and standards for the safe operation of specific training topic being delivered.
Proficient in operating and knowledge of common equipment used in workshops and industrial environments both stationery and mobile.
Examples include Commercial tractor with trailer, overhead Hoisting Equipment, Flex Track Tractor/Dozer, Skid Steer, Forklifts, Hand/Power Tools, etc.
Maintain professional/technical knowledge and skills including required occupational certification/licensing and instructional technology/delivery methods.

Required Education:

Associates degree in related field OR degree equivalent based on verified work experience in the occupation combined with applicable education and training.
2 years (4,000 hours) of recent, related occupational experience outside the field of education.
