Job summary

MAGMAS in Woodstock, IL is seeking an experienced Technical Systems Engineer to join our high-tech managed IT services team. The role involves technical support, infrastructure maintenance and hands-on work at client locations.

You will diagnose faults on-site or remotely, manage service requests and ensure SLAs are met. Strong customer service and five years in IT are essential, with knowledge of Cyber Essentials, GDPR, and Microsoft 365 required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years in an IT role with hands-on support.
• Experience with Cyber Essentials and GDPR security standards.
• Proficient with Microsoft 365 apps and cloud services (Email, SharePoint, Teams, OneDrive).

Responsibilities

• Serve as a technical contact for customers and provide effective IT solutions.
• Attend customer premises to diagnose faults, perform repairs and scheduled maintenance.
• Manage support cases and service requests via the Service Desk platform.
• Escalate incidents requiring management intervention and keep customers informed.
