Job summary

Magnaflux is seeking a Global Systems Support Administrator to maintain our IT infrastructure across on‑premises and cloud environments, ensuring stability, security, and reliability of core systems.

Based in Glenview, IL, you will manage Windows Server, Active Directory, Microsoft 365/Azure, Nutanix, backups, Fortinet networking, and enterprise wireless. You’ll collaborate with IT teammates and stakeholders to resolve issues and implement improvements for operational continuity.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience supporting Windows server environments.
• Experience with Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, and Microsoft 365 administration.
• Basic understanding of virtualization platforms such as Nutanix, VMware, or Hyper-V.
• Familiarity with backup and recovery solutions.
• Working knowledge of networking concepts including TCP/IP, VPNs, wireless networking, and firewalls.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Administer and support Windows servers, virtualization platforms, storage systems, and cloud services.
• Perform routine system maintenance, patching, monitoring, and troubleshooting.
• Support backup and recovery processes and assist with disaster recovery testing.
• Manage user accounts, permissions, Active Directory, Entra ID (Azure AD), Group Policy, DNS, and DHCP.
• Assist with administration of firewalls, VPN connectivity, wireless networks, and network infrastructure.
• Monitor system health and respond to infrastructure alerts and service disruptions.
• Troubleshoot server, network, identity, and cloud-related issues and escalate complex problems when necessary.
• Maintain technical documentation, procedures, and asset inventories.
• Support infrastructure projects, upgrades, and system implementations.
• Provide Tier 2/3 technical support and guidance to the Service Desk and end users.
