Description

Convergint is looking for a full-time, enthusiastic, results-driven, and forward-thinking Technical Support Specialist to join our dynamic culture. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, programming, system start-up/check-out, certification, and related customer training. You will deliver projects effectively within budget and schedule, acting as a key interface for technical support to maximize customer satisfaction. What You’ll Do
  1. Participate in our Recruit Awesome People program to promote our colleague-first culture and attract top talent.
  2. Install, program, test, repair, and service various non-routine security systems and equipment, ensuring customer satisfaction.
  3. Read blueprints, schematics, manuals, and specifications; interpret diagrams; repair equipment using electronics knowledge and tools.
  4. Follow all regulations, best practices, and safety policies during work.
  5. Operate systems to demonstrate, commission, analyze performance, and identify malfunctions; write non-routine programs.
  6. Consult with supervisors on system issues, maintenance, and warranty work.
  7. Advise on customer satisfaction, product performance, and installation standards; suggest improvements.
  8. Manage multiple projects, including programming, start-up, certification, training, documentation, and support.
  9. Identify project risks, communicate, and help develop strategies to mitigate them.
  10. Coordinate with project managers, recommend quality improvements, and enhance customer satisfaction.
  11. Mentor less experienced staff; supervise testing and tuning of equipment for optimal performance.
  12. Ensure exceptional customer service, making Convergint the first choice for service.
  13. Collaborate with team members to improve operations and stay informed on company policies.
  14. Perform additional duties as required.
What You’ll Need
  • Strong customer focus and ability to work under pressure.
  • Technical expertise in electronic security systems.
  • Proven programming skills and troubleshooting ability.
  • Self-motivated with minimal supervision.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency with MS Office and data management tools.
  • Knowledge of physical security, door hardware, relay logic, and networking.
