Job summary

VoltiE Group is seeking a hands-on Technical Support Specialist (L3) in Miramar, FL, to take ownership of complex escalations involving EV chargers and related systems. You will investigate hardware, networking, embedded systems, software, and cloud services using diagnostics, logs, and runbooks.

The role requires strong troubleshooting ability, attention to detail, and the ability to work with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

We arelooking for a hands-on Technical Support Specialist (L3) who enjoys solvingdifficult technical problems and wants to play a direct role in improving thereliability and performance of EV charging systems.

As aTechnical Support Specialist (L3), you will take ownership of complex technicalescalations involving EV chargers and their supporting systems. You willinvestigate issues across hardware, networking, embedded systems, software, andcloud-connected services using diagnostic tools, logs, serial consoles,networking utilities, service interfaces, engineering documentation, andstructured troubleshooting processes. You will work closely with hardware, firmware,software, cloud, field service, installation, and operations teams to identifyroot causes, validate solutions, and help prevent recurring issues. This is ahighly hands-on role for someone who is technically curious, persistent, andcomfortable getting into the details of a problem. Programming experience isnot required. What matters most is strong troubleshooting ability, technicalcuriosity, attention to detail, and the ability to methodically work throughunfamiliar systems.

Requirements

5+years of experience in technical support,systems support, field engineering, network operations, electronics,embedded systems, industrial equipment, EV charging, telecommunications,or a related technical troubleshooting environment.

Experienceworking with complex technical systems where issues may span hardware,networking, software, connectivity, and cloud services.

Education
  • Bachelor'sdegree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering,Information Technology, Mathematics, or a related technical fieldpreferred.
  • Equivalentprofessional experience, technical certifications, military training, ordemonstrated hands-on expertise may be considered in place of a degree.

  • Strong hands-on troubleshootingand diagnostic skills with a structured approach to identifying andresolving complex technical issues.
  • Abilityto read, follow, and improve technical documentation, engineeringrunbooks, service procedures, and troubleshooting guides.
  • Strongroot-cause analysis and problem-solving skills.
  • Abilityto clearly document technical findings, troubleshooting steps,resolutions, and recurring issues.
  • Abilityto work effectively with engineering, field service, installation,operations, and customer-facing teams.
  • Abilityto independently own escalated technical issues from investigation throughresolution and validation.
  • Strongattention to detail, persistence, curiosity, and willingness to learnunfamiliar technologies.
  • Abilityto work on-site with physical equipment and participate in hands-ontesting and troubleshooting.
  • Experiencewith EV charging infrastructure, EVSE, OCPP, or charger managementsystems .
  • Experiencewith embedded systems, Linux-based devices, firmware updates,UART/serial consoles, or device-level diagnostics .
  • Understandingof electrical systems and components, including voltage, current,power, grounding, relays, contactor, sensors, and circuit protection .
  • Experiencetroubleshooting IoT, connected devices, industrial equipment,telecommunications equipment, or other distributed hardware systems .
  • Familiaritywith cloud-connected products, APIs, backend services,device-management platforms, or fleet-management systems .
  • Experiencewith network/protocol analysis tools such as Wireshark orsimilar utilities.

This is ahighly hands-on role for someone who is technically curious, persistent, andcomfortable getting into the details of a problem.

Programmingexperience is not required. What matters most is strong troubleshootingability, technical curiosity, attention to detail, and the ability tomethodically work through unfamiliar systems.
