Job summary

Action1 is seeking a Technical Support Engineer Tier I to provide exceptional support and service to Action1 clients, troubleshoot issues via phone and other channels, and collaborate with engineering and product teams.

The ideal candidate has strong Windows expertise, PowerShell scripting, and experience with MacOS/Linux, software deployment, and Windows registry tasks. A remote-first culture and flexible hours support ongoing growth and customer success.

Qualifications

  • Strong expertise in Microsoft Windows operating systems.
  • Ability to identify and troubleshoot failed patch installations.
  • Familiar with PowerShell scripting and understand basic scripts.
  • Proficiency in Mac OS and/or Linux platforms.
  • Knowledge of software deployment and configuration using install switches.
  • Reading, writing, modifying, and backing up the Windows registry.
  • Experience in technical support or customer service roles.
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Experience troubleshooting software issues across environments.
  • Nice-to-have: patch management experience; log/event data analysis; Windows Policy knowledge; Windows Server familiarity; Windows security basics.

Responsibilities

Introduction:We’re currently seeking a Technical Support Engineer Tier I to provide exceptional support and customer service to Action1 clients.

Would be a plus:

  • Experience with patch management solutions.
  • Ability to analyze and interpret logs and event data.
  • Knowledge of Windows Group Policy configuration and management.
  • Familiarity with Windows servers and server management.
  • A basic understanding of the Windows Security model and related protocols.
