Job summary

Mech-Mind Robotics, a global leader in 3D vision and AI-powered automation, seeks a Solutions Engineer to back the outside sales team in Chicago. You will bridge sales with engineering, coordinate technical demos, and craft proposals that address customer needs, traveling as required.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years in technical sales engineering, strong communication and presentation skills, and reside in the Chicago area.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field.
• 3+ years of experience as a solutions engineer or similar role in a technical sales environment.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Support the outside sales team and align sales strategies with solutions engineering.
• Develop and implement processes between sales and solutions engineering.
• Coordinate and participate in technical demonstrations, presentations and proposals for customers and prospects.
• Provide technical expertise and support to the sales team and customers throughout the sales cycle.
• Identify customer requirements and pain points, and propose solutions that address them.
• Support sales in contract negotiations with technical guidance.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the sales strategies and customer interaction of the outside sales team.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field, 3+ years of experience as a solutions engineer or similar role in a technical sales environment.
• Understanding of types of automation solutions such as conveying, ASRS, goods‑to‑person, sortation, palletizing, depalletizing, piece picking, automated vehicles, and industrial/collaborative robots.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
• Based in Chicago, IL, USA, willingness to travel frequently.
