For over 25 years, Southwest Care Center has been providing exceptional healthcare to the communities of Santa Fe and Albuquerque, NM. We are a non‑profit FQHC‑LAL that offers medical, behavioral health, case management, community outreach, diabetes education, and pharmacy services, including gender equity medicine, syringe exchange, and HIV/Hep C treatment.

Position Overview

Southwest Care Center is currently seeking an experienced temporary Technical Support Analyst II. This is a temporary position with no benefits that supports all SCC locations in Santa Fe and Albuquerque; therefore, the candidate must reside in the local market area of Albuquerque or Santa Fe, New Mexico and be able to travel between the two cities as needed.

Responsibilities
  • Provide comprehensive support and maintenance for software, hardware, and peripherals within the organization’s desktop computing environment.
  • Install, diagnose, repair, maintain, and upgrade all PC hardware and related equipment to ensure optimal workstation performance.
  • Troubleshoot technical issues promptly and accurately, both in person and remotely via telephone or email.
  • Perform onsite analysis, diagnosis, and resolution of complex workstation problems for end users.
  • Recommend and implement corrective solutions, including off‑site repair for remote users as needed.
  • Deliver required desktop service levels by installing, configuring, testing, maintaining, monitoring, and troubleshooting end‑user workstations and related hardware and software.
  • Assess the need for and implement performance upgrades to computers, including the installation of CPUs, I/O, NIC cards, hard drives, RAM, and other components.
  • Collaborate with the IT team to ensure efficient operation of the company’s desktop computing environment.
  • Administer and resolve issues with associated end‑user workstation networking software products, as required.
  • Receive and respond to incoming calls, tickets, and e‑mails regarding desktop problems.
  • Respond to and perform move, add, and change requests as they are submitted.
  • Ensure that physical desktop connections (e.g., RJ‑45 Ethernet jacks, RJ‑11 telephone modem jacks, connectors between PCs and servers, etc.) are in proper working order.
  • Prepare tests and applications for monitoring desktop performance and provide performance statistics and reports.
  • Assist in preparing, maintaining, and upholding procedures for logging, reporting, and statistically monitoring desktop operations.
  • Maintain an inventory of all monitors, keyboards, hard drives, modems, network cards, and other components and equipment.
  • Accurately document instances of desktop equipment or component failure, repair, installation, and removal.
  • Liaise with third‑party support and PC equipment vendors, as necessary.
  • Participate in staff meetings and attend other meetings and seminars as requested.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Minimum (1) year of hands‑on hardware troubleshooting experience.
  • Working knowledge of electronic medical record systems and experience working in a healthcare environment is highly desired.
  • Degree in Information Systems or related field required or equivalent work experience.
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • CompTIA A+, Microsoft MCSE, MCSA, and/or Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate (MCS Azure) highly desired.
  • Personal reliable transportation to travel between clinics and offices.
  • Personal smartphone with adequate data plan.
