Job summary

NorthWind Technical Services is seeking a Sales Engineer to build relationships, craft proposals, and help customers bring complex projects to life. You’ll bridge customer needs with NorthWind’s delivery capabilities and travel to site as required.

You will apply knowledge of industrial control systems and process technologies, develop accurate scopes and quotes, and present solutions confidently to win partnerships.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a business or engineering discipline.
• At least 1 year of experience in a technical or sales role.
• Proficiency with MS Office suite and related tools (Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio).
• Strong negotiation and communication skills in client-facing settings.
• Knowledge of codes, safety procedures, and construction processes.

Responsibilities

• Build relationships with existing clients and identify new opportunities.
• Develop accurate scopes of work, quotes, and technical solutions.
• Present NorthWind's capabilities to potential customers to form partnerships.
• Manage the sales process from initial contact to project handoff.
• Maintain organized customer data in the CRM and coordinate with the team.
• Travel to client sites as required (valid driver's license and passport).
