Job summary

GMM Pfaudler in Rochester, NY is seeking an Inside Technical Sales Engineer to join the commercial team at its manufacturing facility. The role focuses on aftermarket parts sales, customer service, and serving as a technical resource to help achieve sales targets.

You will work with the sales team, engineering, and customers to define requirements, develop proposals, and support orders from inquiry to delivery. Occasional travel to customer sites is expected.

Qualifications

• B.S. degree in Chemical, Mechanical or Materials Engineering.
• 1–3 years of related technical experience; chemical industry desirable.
• Previous sales experience preferred.
• Able to travel occasionally (approx. 10%).
• Proficient in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the technical resource to support sales targets for Rochester division.
• Collaborate with sales, manufacturing, and customers throughout the sales cycle.
• Prepare cost estimates and develop technical proposals.
• Review inquiries, specify customer needs, and articulate product positioning.
• Enter orders and maintain accurate records of accounts and quotes.
• Travel to customer sites as needed (approx. 10%).
