Job summary

Airgas, an Air Liquide company, is hiring a Manager, Technical Services in Lawrenceville, GA. You will lead production and delivery for customer installations, directing teams across Engineering, Operations, and Maintenance to meet project objectives within budget.

Requires a BS in Mechanical/Chemical/Civil/Environmental Engineering, PMP or equivalent, and 3–5 years in engineering project management, with ammonia experience a plus.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree - minimum B.S. - preferably in Mechanical, Chemical, Civil, or Environmental Engineering
• PMP Certification (or equivalent)
• 3 to 5 years experience in an engineering project management position
• Industrial petro-chemical experience preferred
• Specific experience with ammonia a plus
• Must be proficient in all Google Suite & Microsoft Office software
• Excellent communication skills required
• Excellent leadership skills required

Responsibilities

• Direct supervision of Airgas Specialty Products (ASP) Engineering Team Associates, including performance management
• Ensure that ASP Project Engineers maintain budgets and schedules and take action to assure project objectives and schedules are met and work is performed within budget
• Provide engineering expertise and ammonia specific expertise both internally to ASP / Airgas / Air Liquide and externally to customer and various other individuals and organizations
• Represent Airgas / ASP on industry groups and committees (e.g. Compressed Gas Association)
• Create and obtain approval for all Capital Appropriation Requests (CARs) for projects to be executed by ASP Engineering
• Work with ASP Sales Team to develop capital cost estimates for potential customer bulk tank installations, including review of customer detailed specifications when applicable
• Ensure that all engineering and project documentation and information is properly stored on the ASP Engineering Drive
• Implement Company Safety and Environmental requirements and procedures
• Participate in Process Hazard Analysis meetings as the ammonia technical expert when required
