Job summary

Airgas, an Air Liquide company, is seeking a Plant Engineer in New Carlisle, IN to ensure project documentation is properly controlled, distributed and organized using Air Liquide systems, meeting contractual requirements, quality, schedule and cost targets. The role supports Zone operations and Plant Managers in technical and operational areas.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of operational or engineering experience.
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting abilities.
• Experience with operating and maintaining Air Separation Units.
• Strong communication skills in verbal and written form.

Responsibilities

• Provide engineering support to the Zone operations.
• Assist Plant Managers in resolving technical and operational issues.
• Investigate operational incidents and develop corrective actions.
• Participate in creating, updating and reviewing PHAs, P&IDs, MOCs and SOPs.
• Create, review, and approve Maximo job plans to improve efficiency.
• Assist with equipment repair specifications to boost reliability.
• Manage minor upgrades and plant improvements at existing locations.
• Develop designs, cost estimates, and economic justifications for plant decisions.
• Generate ACE requests and track approval process.
• Oversee project execution with Plant Manager to meet requirements on time and budget.
• Support design and execution phases of corporate projects addressing operational concerns.
