Job summary

Air Liquide Advanced Materials in Branchburg, NJ is seeking a Senior Director, Technical Engineering to lead ALAM Engineering & Projects. You will supervise three competence centers, manage 25–30 resources and drive design authority across global projects.

This hybrid role requires 30% travel, a 15+ year track record in industrial gases and chemicals, and a Bachelor's degree in engineering with International TCL qualification; strong communication and leadership are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in chemical, mechanical, or electrical engineering, or equivalent.
• 15+ years of relevant experience in industrial gases and chemical industries.
• International Senior Expert qualification in the Air Liquide TCL system.
• Excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Supervise three competence centers: Mechanical, A&C (Automation and Control) and Process teams.
• Directly manage 25-30 resources and dotted line management of 5-10 resources in Asia (Korea, Taiwan, Singapore and Japan).
• Act as Overall Design Authority for all projects managed by Engineering & Projects department.
• Drive Safety and Performance culture defined by Air Liquide.
• Establish industry standard best practices across multiple global geographies.
• Maintain engineering standards used during project design and execution globally.
• Coordinate with other design disciplines for efficient development and implementation of project requirements.
• Maintain sufficient resources for capital projects and operational support; manage globally across geographies.
• 30% travel required mostly to company sites.
• Complete all assigned trainings and monitor timely completion for all direct reports.
