Job summary

Walbec Group’s Tech Services Internship for Summer 2027 offers hands-on exposure to testing, data entry, and documentation within a disciplined QC environment across Midwest sites. You will learn to input data into DOT databases, assist with project closeout, and support field teams with daily requests.

Ideal candidates are self-starters with strong written and verbal communication who can work independently and contribute to training, scheduling, and fleet-related tasks while upholding safety

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Engineering Technology or a related field.
• Self-starter and ability to work independently.
• Strong communication skills both written and verbal.

Responsibilities

• Prepare testing information, project plans and field materials.
• Assist with maintaining testing records and project closeout documentation.
• Enter and submit testing data into DOT databases as required.
• Help coordinate training and certifications for field technicians.
• Assist with preparing and updating QC plans, manuals and training materials.
• Organize and maintain electronic QC files and project records.
• Support Project Managers and field technicians with testing data, questions and daily requests.
• Assist with scheduling, incentive/disincentive tracking, fleet administration and other Technical Services needs.
