Job summary

Walbec Group is seeking a Project Manager Summer 2027 Internship to assist with scheduling, budgeting, and coordination on construction projects across the Midwest. You will support project documentation, site visits, and safety efforts while collaborating with managers, subcontractors, and vendors.

Ideal candidates are pursuing a bachelor's degree in Construction Management or Civil Engineering, are self-starters, and possess strong written and verbal communication skills.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
• Self-starter and ability to work independently.
• Strong communication skills both written and verbal.

Responsibilities

• Assist with project scheduling, coordination, budgets, progress reports, and weekly project schedules.
• Support quantity reporting, cost tracking, labor budgets, and material scheduling.
• Communicate with Construction Managers, subcontractors, and vendors to obtain project updates.
• Assist with material requisitions, project documentation, and general project administration.
• Participate in jobsite visits and observe construction activities, progress, and quality.
• Assist with addressing project delays, weather impacts, and other jobsite challenges.
• Support site safety efforts and participate in owner, subcontractor, and project meetings.
• Assist with quality control and building positive relationships with customers, subcontractors, and project team members.
