Job summary

Walbec Group seeks a Project Manager Summer 2027 Intern to assist scheduling, cost tracking, and field coordination on ongoing construction projects across the Midwest. You will work with Construction Managers, subcontractors, and vendors to gather updates and support daily project administration.

The role requires pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or Civil Engineering, strong communication skills, and the ability to work independently.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in construction management, civil engineering, or related field.
• Self-starter and ability to work independently.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist with project scheduling, coordination, budgets, progress reports, and weekly project schedules.
• Support quantity reporting, cost tracking, labor budgets, and material scheduling.
• Communicate with Construction Managers, subcontractors, and vendors to obtain project updates.
• Assist with material requisitions, project documentation, and general project administration.
• Participate in jobsite visits and observe construction activities, progress, and quality.
• Assist with addressing project delays, weather impacts, and other jobsite challenges.
• Support site safety efforts and participate in owner, subcontractor, and project meetings.
• Assist with quality control and building positive relationships with customers, subcontractors, and project team members.
