Job summary

Buzzi Unicem USA is seeking a technical liaison to serve as the bridge between customers and production, sales, and marketing across Kansas, Oklahoma, Western Missouri and Texas. The role emphasizes resolving technical issues, supporting training, and representing the company in regional organizations.

The ideal candidate has a degree in concrete industry management or related field, experience in cement/concrete industries, and strong communication and presentation skills.

Qualifications

• B.S. Degree or Concrete Industry Management Degree.
• Experience in the concrete/masonry/cement industry.
• Knowledge of concrete/masonry/cement technology and applications.
• Possess a high degree of integrity and excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities

The primary role of this position is to serve as the technical liaison between customer and production/sales and marketing functions in the areas of Kansas, Oklahoma, Western Missouri and Texas.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Work with sales personnel to prevent and resolve customer related issues.
• Help train sales personnel.
• Conduct customer seminars on various technical/marketing subjects.
• Respond to federal, state and local government agencies.
• Represent Buzzi Unicem USA in regional technical and promotional organizations.
• Assist customers with mix designs.
• Respond to technical questions from architects, engineers, contractors and customers.
• Utilize a company-wide tracking system to resolve customer complaints.
• Monitor cement plants' performances.
• Coordinate with plant quality control personnel to develop a database for Buzzi Unicem USA.
• Provide a rational basis for establishing target levels for cement performance based on concrete and masonry testing.
• Conduct concrete and masonry tests to compare our cement performance to competition.
• Provide input for product data sheets (e.g. MSDS).

Qualifications

• Experience in the concrete/masonry/cement industry
• Knowledge of concrete/masonry/cement technology and applications
• Knowledge of cement and admixture chemistry
• Possess a high degree of integrity
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with attention to conveying accurate and appropriate information
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Ability to make promotional and technical presentations to architects and engineers
